Our Team: Serving in a Nation in Crisis
Swaziland is a nation in crisis. It's the first modern day nation predicted to be extinct...by 2029, which is just 17 years away. But we know that we serve a God that is bigger than a death sentence. John 10:10 "The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life." (NLT) Where the enemy has come to steal life from a nation, God is raising up a new generation.
A nation in crisis needs to see the compassion and love of God before it is too late.
Our mission is to empower the local church in Swaziland to be the hands of Christ extended to their communities. Matthew 25:35–36 "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." (NIV)
Our vision is for the people of Swaziland to experience life and hope through Jesus Christ as the local church is equipped and empowered to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional and educational needs of their communities.
- HIV/AIDS rates are climbing...overall adult prevalence is now 31%.
- The number of orphans and vulnerable children is steadily climbing, largely due to the severity of HIV/AIDS.
- The unemployment rate is over 40% and is predicted to get worse.
