Year of the Child
Assemblies of God World Missions (AGWM) has designated 2011 as the "Year of the Child." The theme of the year - No Child Without - emphasizes the goal of leaders and missionaries throughout the world to see no child without Christ or the essentials of life. Our missionary fellowship is doing our part in our region of the world by working with national churches, raising awareness of children's needs and teaching the value of reaching each child with the gospel. We are partnering with our local churches to train Sunday school teachers and envision leaders with the importance of teaching biblical truths to the next generation. We are working to make resources and training for children's ministries accessible to our local churches.
Why is it so important to focus on children? Why is it vital to train and empower leaders to minister to kids in ways that really reach out to them?
Children can be used by God...He has a plan and purpose for every child.
Children can worship & praise God.
Children can be great examples of faith.
Jesus desires to bless children.
THEY ARE THE NEXT GENERATION.
"See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven." ~ Matthew 18:10
